1) QEPCCC will be hosting a free presentation of Leslie McCurdy's one-woman play, "The Spirit of Harriet Tubman".


Day 2: Thursday, October 27, 2016


1) 45-minute Walking Tours at 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm

Includes walking tour at the Oakville Museum: the Pier, the Custom House, Captain Robert Wilson's House, The Canadian Hotel, the Granary, the Harbour, Erchless Estate and Lakeside Park.
        

2) "The Underground Railroad: Next Stop Freedom!"

An innovative multimedia presentation that celebrates the heritage of Black Canadians in our community.


3) Freedom, Opportunity and Family: Oakville’s Black History
Visitors will discover the story of Branson Johnson, a freeborn African-American, who arrived in Oakville with his family in 1855.

4) Community drumming circle
Find your rhythm and uplift your spirit with a collective celebration of the power of the drum.
